In our latest ‘Meet the Team’ blog series we will be interviewing different TISSL members across all of our departments! For our next interview we  sat down with our Finance Director, Sam Peterson:

Finance Director

How long have you worked at TISSL?

Nearly 5 years

What does your job entail?

I am responsible for managing the finances of the business and that includes managing a finance team. I am also part of the senior management team which entails lots of strategy meetings sharing and discussing issues that affect the business on a day to day basis.

What is a typical day like?

Hectic, my office is often like Euston station with people constantly in and out.

Favourite memory from work

I don’t have a favorite memory but Tissl is the kind of place that gets under your skin because we have such a fantastic bunch of people working here so I enjoy my days at work.

Where are you from?

I was born in Zimbabwe and came to the UK when I was 19 to travel around Europe, I am still here many years later!

Where did you go to school?

I went to a boarding school nestled in the Zimbabwean countryside that was magical.

What do you like to do when you aren’t working?

 love to travel with my family to far-flung places, I like to cook, I try and work out regularly and I also enjoy a glass of wine or 2 (okay maybe 3) with my mates.

What’s a fun fact about you many people may not know?

Even though I am an accountant I am actually a fun person:-)
